Dhol Classes

The children who learn Dhol have the opportunity to take part in Cultural events not only at HASWA but the Havering Town Show. Dhol has been fairly a new activity and has become popular with the teenagers. It provides an opportunity for them to progress towards joining a professional Dhol academy or playing the Dhol as a hobby.

All children have their own Dhol, so practice can take place at home as well. The feedback from the children showed that they enjoyed the class; they are able to make new friends, and have fun.

Actual outcomes are children learn a music skill, enjoy the class, it could further them onto taking part in other activities across partner boroughs, and they understand the significance of the Dhol in our culture.
